About the Lapidary Artist

I started my learning in the lapidary arts at a young age. I grew up in Southern Oregon surrounded both by uncles who were lapidaries and many beautiful agates. One of those uncles started my journey on cutting and polishing stones when I was in high school in 1958. I have continued learning and perfecting my skills ever since.
My other interests include teaching and working in gold and silver jewelry making, lost wax casting, stone carving and fabrication of objets d’art.

I continue my lifelong learning experiences in lapidary and jewelry making through workshops at the Mendocino Art Center, local workshops and forum discussions with other lapidary and jewelry artists.
